The Anatomy Of An E-Cigarette

An electronic cigarette (e-cigarette/e-cig/vape) is a device that uses battery-powered electricity to heat a solution (e-liquid) to the point of vaporization, creating a smoke-like vapour.

All e-cigarette devices are made of two major systems – a battery system (this is usually on the bottom part of the device, but may sometimes be separated by the casing that holds the battery [mod]) and an atomizer system (made up of a clearomizer or tank that holds the e-liquid reservoir, and a coil which absorbs the e-liquid and creates the vapour). Many e-cigarette tanks may also have an adjustable airflow mechanism.
